My Voice Is My Power

“Well my story started with me aged 9 at school. Never really fitted in with the ‘cool kids.’ Was bullied a lot. I didn’t do well at school and my parents didn’t support my lifestyle choices.

I did mostly as I pleased and didn’t make any long lasting friendships. People drifted in and out of my life for a while. No matter how hard I tried nothing seemed to change, and it made me suffer with severe depression to the point where I would self-harm. I could deal with this, but then things got a lot worse.

I was abused at school by a teacher and it lasted about a year and a half, and then I decided no more. I used my voice and told the headteacher and they were arrested for it, so that is why MY VOICE IS MY POWER.”
