“When I was a kid, I loved cake. I still do. But it kinda became a joke in my house that if there was no cake left, it was “Joey who ate it all.” . My Mom, Pop and my sister all thought it was a bit of a laugh, and growing up I shrugged it off. But now I think their mickey taking kinda still sits with me. . It’s not like it was full on bullying, but I feel really guilty now when I want to eat things like cake. I mean, every kid loves cake, right? I don’t think I was that greedy. . I’m pretty pissed at the way my family said those things. Remember words do stick.
