Men In White Jackets

“When I was young my dad used to sing to me ‘The Men in the White Jackets’ song. Little did he know that one day that’d be true. I can laugh about it now, in fact we (my family) all do but it was quite serious at the time. I’m so grateful for the journey I’ve had and I wouldn’t necessarily change it. Mental health is becoming more understood and I’m glad to see that more constructive help is being offered these days as opposed to what I had to endure when I was sectioned! Yes…sectioned!!….just for having an eating disorder, can you believe that? If I didn’t laugh about it now, it would encompass me just like my ED did. It’s not happening again.”
