You, Me, Empathy Podcast

I was hugely grateful to be able to share my experience of recovery from anorexia with Non Wels, who is the creator and host of the US podcast, You, Me, Empathy.

The podcast is a safe space to engage empathetically with others, share mental health struggles and find healing, growth and familiarity within stories.

We chatted our way through a whole heap of topics: feeling like we don’t connect, being “too sensitive,” the validation we get from friends and family for being thin, the false perception that eating disorders are about vanity and privilege, what it’s like to be in an eating disorder in-patient treatment centre, and how, in many ways, eating disorders are about attempting to process feelings when we don’t yet have the tools to do so.
